What the platform does
EchoDepth Sport is a real-time emotional AI platform for elite sport. It detects player and manager emotional state from standard video — training footage, team meetings, press conferences, and match broadcast — by tracking 44 of the 46 facial Action Units defined in the peer-reviewed Facial Action Coding System (FACS). No wearable, no biometric strap, no survey form.
Detected Action Unit combinations are mapped to a three-dimensional VAD (Valence, Arousal, Dominance) emotional model, producing continuous confidence, fatigue, and instability signals with sub-200ms inference latency. Every score is compared against that individual's own baseline — established over the first 3–4 weeks of sessions — rather than a population average, so the system flags meaningful deviation from a player's personal norm instead of generic thresholds.
The platform sits alongside your existing performance stack rather than replacing it. Clubs already running GPS and biomechanics tracking (see EchoDepth vs Catapult) or physical-load intelligence (see Integrations) add EchoDepth as the psychological layer neither was built to provide. Outputs are delivered through three connected modules below.

Platform FAQs
What does the EchoDepth Sport platform include?
Three connected modules: Player Wellbeing (continuous passive monitoring with individual baseline alerting), Coach Communications (half-time intelligence briefs and sideline alerts), and Concussion Protocol support (pre-season baseline capture and post-impact delta analysis) — all built on the same 44-Action-Unit FACS detection engine.
Does the platform require any wearable hardware?
No. EchoDepth Sport is camera-based and passive, working from standard training, match, and press conference footage. There is no vest, strap, or device for players to wear, charge, or maintain.
How does the platform compare to GPS and physical tracking tools?
GPS and biomechanics platforms like Catapult measure physical output. EchoDepth Sport measures psychological state — confidence, fatigue, and readiness — which physical tracking cannot see. Most clubs run both, since the two systems measure entirely different things.
